The speaker is Mother Fannie Ernestine Motley who was the first African American student to graduate from Spring Hill College during the era of segregation. Spring Hill college is located in Mobile Alabama. Here she speaks about being interviewed about her experience at Spring Hill. She also tells the story of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. having dinner over her family's house.
