  • @HotElectrotek And arguments are pointless if the two sides don't reach compromises

  • @EdikShepherd Yeah, this is an argument.

  • @HotElectrotek Perhaps, the tribes that took Rome were known for being more religiously tolerant than others.

  • @EdikShepherd I dont think so. Due of the Course most of Barbarian were Christians later and the fact, that the Pantheon was a Church...they saved it.

I dont Think the Barbarian had any interest in architecture. If they had. They wouldn't Destroy the Trajan Forum, they wouldn't have destroyed the biggest Public bathing build up by caracalla. The only Buildings which remain stable where The Pantheon and the St. Perters Church.

  • @HotElectrotek "what the barbarians didn't do the Barberini (papal family) did"

No one even knows what the inside would have really looked like during Roman times because of such drastic changes made to it. The pope spoke of above removed TONS, literally tons in the hundreds, of bronze to make a silly Christian alter and 80 cannons for the Castle Saint Angelo.

They also used it as a fortress during the Dark Ages, exposing it to damage.

It's safe because the barbarians thought it too beautiful.

Sorry ? We have to Thank the catholic Church that they did so. The Pantheon is the only building of the old room whos kept well. You know why ? Beacuse it was a church. If it wasn't I'm pretty sure it wouldn't exist in his Form today.

  • Look up what the Catholic Church did to the Pantheon. It's sickening. They absolutely desecrated it.

Romans would be sad if they looked at their city now and saw that it has been perverted by a series of penis-hat wearing idiots.

  • This is an amazing video of one of the worlds greatest treasures. I still can not believe it is still standing today. The ancient roman architectures and engineers were simply ahead of their time. This is a masterpiece in every which way or form. I am in awe! of it's magnificence and beauty. What a sight it must be to see it live and in person.

  • When I came inside there I also felt a strong sense of "awe", and I'm an atheist. I'm goin to Rome soon, and then I will visit this temple again. Something is very special about this place.
