Video shows a variety of helicopters in amazing maneuvers; including the AH-64 Apache Attack helicopter, Huey, Chinook, , CH-21, and MH-53. Also shows RC Trex 600 in insane maneuvers.

The AH-64 Apache Attack Helicopter, Flying Tiger, is the advanced AH-64D Longbow. It has improved sensor suite & weapons systems. It was updated with T700-GE-701 engines and a fully integrated cockpit. The first upgraded Block II apaches were delivered in 2003. Block III improvements are for 2008.

The Apache is the Army's chief attack helicopter and used for high value targets, such as destroying tanks, armored vehicles, and hard material targets. It can fire 625 rounds per minute, is called the long bow, and has two GE turbojet engines with interconnected transmission.

The MH-53J Pave Low III heavy-lift helicopter is the largest and most powerful in the Air Force inventory. It is also the most technologically advanced helicopter in the world. Its terrain-following, terrain-avoidance radar and forward-looking infrared sensor, along with a projected map display, allow its crew to follow terrain contours and avoid obstacles, making low-level penetration possible.

The Piasecki CH-21 Workhorse/Shawnee is the fourth of a line of tandem rotor helicopters designed and built by Piasecki Helicopter (later Boeing Vertol). It is also called the "flying banana. It was a multi-mission helicopter, which used wheels, skis, or floats. It was also used for Arctic rescue because it performed so well at low temperatures.

The Dayton Ohio Air show takes place near the Wright-Patterson AFB. It features precision aerial maneuvers to display some of the world's most amazing aircraft. Some portions are so dangerous they have resulted in crashes - stunt pilot Jim LeRoy had a fatal crash July 28 2007. However the same aerobatics procedures continue unchanged in this year's show. Some of the demonstrations are at just below, or possibly at, supersonic speeds.

Also in the 2008 show were F-104 Starfighters in close dangerous formation, the F-16 Fighting Falcon, the F-18 Super Hornet flying with the F-4U Corsair, and the B-25. The show included a shockwave jet truck and the AeroShell Aerobatic Team. Also the Misty Blues Skydiving Team, Air National Guard C-130, and heritage and legacy flights. Bomb bay openings are shown for both the Raptor and the B-25. The F-22 Raptor, F16 Fighting Falcon, and P51 Mustang flew together in close formation. Shown in the videos:

You don't feel Apaches dishing out a healthy dose of retribution for 9/11 is as patriotic and American as apple pie? Mmmmm. Reducing a very well-formed and funded terrorist group to a straggling, piecemeal organization is not 'defending you'? Eh, I guess you're right- patrolling your town would be a much more successful defensive operation. PLEASE TELL US THE NAME OF THIS TOWN- WHERE AN APACHE IS AN APPROPRIATE DEFENSE UTILITY- so I never come within 100 miles.

  • They don't need for them to look like flying saucers anymore?

  • funny cause I remember trying to call them in for air support in afghanistan and they said no because of a sand storm and there was 0 visability
