I have to admit the way he distributes the skill points when he levels doesn't give him much chance at anything. Like putting ONE point in science leaving him at 45..instead of going to 50..or barely leveling small guns, putting one or two points in things that are not needed, seems somewhat like a waste.

i got to level 20 and have very good stats and with relatively little trouble, so whatever.

does the small guns stat increase your VATS with them?

it's damage and a small bit of accuracy mostly, but VATS hit percentage is computed by a large number of things

Ignore the naysayers,Skorch! They're probably jelaous that they got slaughted by Readroaches on Easy, or something. I think you're really good at this, much better than me (RPGs aren't my thing).
