stomach produces HCL(hydrochloric acid) to digest food properly. its concentration high during the meal. if u drink water with the meal, u dilute HCL, as a result it will take longer to digest food or it may not be digested properly. also, food will stay longer @high temperature and meat and fish start rotten.
