Parikshit Sahani, though handsome & talented, did not get the exposure he should have had..generally he was given a meloncholic portrayal , but he did full justice.. as in this.. Kaifi sahab, Roshanji and Rafi sahab excel in this song.

Kaifi Azmi was one of the most philosophical poet and the depth of poetic expression in this song is simply unfathomable. The poetry clearly overshadows the lovely melody of Roshan';s music, yet most of the credit is stolen by Rafi. This song remained in my heart even when I was just a kid. Even at that age I could not get enough of Zaheeda, they (Mumtaz and Zaheeda) all contributed to my early manhood.
