This is a quick video explaining the issues with the Nikon coolpix build.
I am confident that the screen design on the back of the camera is faulty, and I would not imagine a screen like this lasting much time at all with regular use.
(However, this camera was only used occasionally.)
It think potential buyers and Nikon should make it a point to fix this issue.
Nikon, please send me an email at Helpfulzach@gmail.com
Excuse the horrible burn on my hand. haha

  • Man, my camera screen looks exactly like that! and idk how to fix it!! :( mine is also a nikon coolpic.

  • Hey Zach, what did they tell you ? did they replace it free of charge? please write me back at aperrett@live.com

  • Wish I would have seen this before we bought one, had the screen break and replace it with one that broke soon afterward! Thanks for posting.

  • shit happens!

  • The same shit happened to me. : (

  • Just buy a better protective case for the camera. I have a culmann or something and a l20, it does really work for me. I dropped it many times with that case and nothing happened. I had a poor quality case before I bought the new one. The screen of my other camera (l18) got cracked due to dropping it with that bad protective case.

If you have a cracked screen, watch my video how to replace the screen cheap.

  • Same thing happened to me will never buy another Nikon camera!
