In April, John F. Connolly, Jr. was honored with the Holy Child Spirit Award during the 2009 Holy Child Awards Dinner. This award recognizes individuals who exemplify the characteristics of service unique to the Holy Child tradition (such as compassion, justice, and social action) by using their gifts to make a difference in the world. Connolly is the Founder, President, and CEO of InspiriTec, a nonprofit corporation based in Philadelphia, Pa., which helps people with disabilities and other disadvantages gain skills and a job in the Information Technology professions. He is also an SHCJ Associate. Associates are individuals who seeks to grow in their spirituality by sharing in the mission of the Society. Pat Ciarrocchi, Co-Anchor of Philadelphia's CBS3 Eyewitness News at Noon, served as the Mistress of Ceremonies for the 2009 Holy Child Awards Dinner.
