In 1969, Anthony Newley hosted this show called The Hollywood Palace. It featured songs all written by him and Leslie Bricusse, all sung on the show by Newley himself, and/or by one of the guests he lined-up for the evening. All women of course...
I didn't capture EVERYTHING from it. Just most of the parts involving Tony. No requests, please.
Newley and Lola Falana sing "Where Would You Be Without Me?" from his musical, The Roar of the Greasepaint the Smell of the Crowd.
**I DO NOT OWN THE RIGHTS TO THIS VIDEO. My only intention is to expose Mr. Newley to those who wish to see him. I will oblige any request to take this down.**

In the late 1980s and early 90s, Falana suffered from multiple sclerosis, from which prayer apparently delivered her. She has since joined the Roman Catholic Church. Falana never became a nun, but she HAS embraced celibacy. As far as I know, she lives today in Las Vegas, very quietly --

I LOVE Tony Newley. And the wonderful Lola Falana entertained my adolescent daydreams in the 1970s like nobody's biz -- what a fabulous performer:) --

Sadly he died in April of 1999, around the same time as Oliver Reed and Lionel Bart. His collaborator Lesley Bricusse and ex-wife Joan Collins are alive and well, however. And he now has three grandchildren and his son Sasha has paintings hanging in the National Portrait Gallery (US). Several cabaret singers currently base their careers on doing Newley tributes in NYC, London, and Australia.
