this is a good idea but the technology as it stands now does mean that unless you are constantly using it you will not recoup the energy required to manufacture the device. But hopefully with better battery and photovoltaic technology in the future we will recoup the energy faster. Re member batteries are bad for the environment but are alot better than buying non-rechargeable batteries which you use once and throw away
