This beast broke the NRE $ 60,000.00 dyno! Not a good thing, but what a beast! NRE's Tom Nelson explains this new engine and runs several dyno pulls. Amazing! More information can be found at the NRE's web sites, http://nelsonracingengines.com and http://nelsonsupercars.com.

@Pokemonmaster212 It really depends on the car it is in. Their 427 LSX making 1750hp got 20mpg highway in the Mosler MT900S. But that car has low drag and very low weight (2500lbs). In any of the muscle cars NRE builds that number will drop closer to 10mpg or under. They are not aerodynamic and often weigh over 4000lbs. Less if they use a Big Block.

Awesome high bhp engine, those counter clockwise turbos make for a real clean installation.

@Pokemonmaster212 Indeed, that particular engine I mentioned makes almost 2,000 horsepower. Can you imagine?? I've never driven a vehicle with 1,000 horsepower, let alone almost 2,000!

@SirKowalski666 Impressive numbers, for a high horsepower engine.

@Pokemonmaster212 The 427 cubic inch (7.0 liter) twin turbo v8 these guys make gets 20 mpg highway, if that's anything to go by.
