love my JERSEY SOUND and TONY HUMPHRIES, love my CHICAGO HOUSE, and NY HOUSE, and U.K. HOUSE, ETC.ETC. but i think a lot of people are no realizing that this is a disco record mixed by the late great WALTER GIBBONS in 1977 ! CLUB ZANZIBAR was not even opened yet. only the disco's that where around in 1977 where playing this at that time. any thing after 1977 is late for this record.

@MrBudablue FRANKIE KNUCKLES was born in the BRONX N.Y. in 1955. worked @ the discotheque THE GALLERY , which was owned by NICKY SIANO in 1972.started djing in 1973 with LARRY LEVAN @ the discotheque ( slash bathhouse) THE CONTINENTAL BATHS which was opened in 1968. he also djed with LARRY @ the disco SOHO PLACE in 1976, all in N.Y.C. made his move to CHI TOWN in 1977 to dj @ the disco THE WAREHOUSE , which evently gave HOUSE MUSIC IT'S NAME.

@DEZINE5 the term "HOUSE" as in house music was started in Chicago. but not because it was created in the house or basements of a house... the fact is that the music being played by Frankie knuckles at the club THE WAREHOUSE give house music it's tag. (house music, the warehouse/ garage music, paradise garage) and the term CLUB came in use around the late 80's for FREESTYLE MUSIC , before it was tagged as freestyle.

MAN MAN, whew!!!!! the zan's in newark, i used to catch the bus i had to be there, than after the bus did not run until 10am so me and the other house heads used to sleep in the port or on the bench, classic baby classic. the long lines of people who just wanted to lose there mind with tony humphries.
