My Intel SC5000 5U Rackmount chassis server booting up after motherboard failure. The three chipsetts where flashed and the server got as new.

Intel L440GX+
Dual Intel P3 Xeon 733MHZ
1GB PC100 ECC SDRAM
5x 18,4GB 80 pin hotswap drives
HP Surestore DDS4 x6 autoloader

  • I wrecked the PC of my sister few years ago..

    It was turning of every time.

    And the last time i heard *Boom!* xD

    And then i didn't turn on anymore.. :P

    And my parents and sister don't even know that i wrecked the motherboard of the PC! :P

  • well :) this was not the case! the server had some strange symptoms and wouldnt shutdown, reboot or find the scsi controller. i just updated the systems bios and all utilities.. and it worked just as fine after that
