Projection/Audible Aspects of Pachowney, an Operetta by Colin Self Pachowney is a narrative exploitation of Morette, a modern dancer who has failed out of college after becoming romantically involved with a tree. The story opens with Morette reminicing inside her old diary, which while doing so, she eats an entire pint of Relevation ice cream and discovers a pamphlet called "How To Respect Yourself When You Fail." She is so overwhelmed with inspiration and enthusiasm, that she hallucinates herself into a Subway Sandwich store, where she can share her secrets of success with strangers. With a headset and a magical psychotropic mind full of oppertunities, she answers the age old question of "How Do I Be A SuccessFul Artist? Can Being diffeRent and Unique really Make ME Popular?" Through improvisational thinking, poetry, and vocal exercises, she teaches all the Subway customers how to feel free and happy when slumped by money signs and worry warts. When finishing her closing number, her mother calls her from inside a pita, forcing her to face the overwhelming question: Will I ever be on TV?
this is kind of my life right now.
