  • i remember too. heard he bought the plane from The Killer

  • I remember this day like it happened yesterday. Very sad. He was my mom's idol.

  • Some people I've talked to before, told me, that they've never heard of Ricky Nelson.

I think that's ridiculous! Being a has been is one thing, but now, people never heard of him!

Ritchie Valens has been dead alot longer, and people say, they've heard of him.

That's nuts! When both of them, sang the same type of music!

  • That's just way too sad of story. I just hate the thought that he's gone. Even though I was only 2 years old when he died and I have no memory of that day, I still can't believe he's been gone for over 25 years already! It still feels like he is with us today, because he was one of my idols since I first heard his music when I was a little girl and grew up listening and watching him just like the people in the 50s. RIP Rick, you are missed by so many.

  • That prop had several technical problems in one of the engines. The Nelson´s plane did two emergecy landing in that year and the band didn´t trust in that airplane..

RIP Rick Nelson and the rest of the band.

  • Sad.....Surprised they flew in a prop and not a jet.
