That's extraordinary. It would make a lot of sense though due to the 2012 scare from the ancient Mayans who did watch the sky very very close. They could know of what the skies bring but may not understand what is going to happen. We are destroying this world, using up resources after resources. This planet should be held sacred. I agree with that, the majority of UFO videos are shitty quality, most likely to cover up video edits and what not, old news. BUT, for this video in particular, the guy is pointing his camera into a telescope. Point a camcorder zoomed in into a pair of binoculars and you'll see how much the quality will be distorted, now try that on a more greater scale.

Also judging by 2:10 it seems as tough the original quality of this video was better, but it looks like we'll never know.

@LurkingSTALKER I don't accept that answer, since the 1980s the quality of UFO footage has been shitty. You would think that from then to now our technology has improved enough to be able to film things in the sky at night. gtfo.
