Moderato in E Minor by Domenico Scarlatti (1685-1757)

One of those pieces that's very easy for the player to get tangled up - you'll see what I mean.

Recorded on 23 July 2008 at St. John's Parish Church, Ainsdale, Southport.

  • are those mirrors on the organ....so you can see a director or conductor? if so...that is neat....and this does seem like one of those easy pieces but you like lose yourself...because it seems too easy. nicely done

  • The choir stalls are right behind me, so the mirrors are there so the choir and I can see each other.

They're also useful at weddings - the vestry entrance is just by the choir stalls, so I can see when the new bride and groom have finished signing the registers, and are ready to process out, and so I know when to strike up the Wedding March.
