Took a kick on surface hole @ 390 Meters, We did have a diverter in use which probably saved the rig. But somehow the gas still managed to escape through the mouse hole.

Lol got to say am a former Marine and been on rigs for the last 1yr.. not a rough neck but a MPD hand/ specialest etc...I've rough neck alil when were not needed and the rig tripping in or out...most deffently can say roughnecks can keep up with any Marine any day...this looks like they were taking about 4000 to 6000 gas units atleasts could sadly been much more any body know how long they circulated for?

Wow, unbelievable! I worked for the gas company and experienced over hte years, more than my share of gas explosions! Scarey Stuff for sure. I dam near bit the big one twice! I no longer work for the utilities! I realize this is a well, not a utility gas line but they all pack an unbelievable punch! Can you please tell me who and what this song is thats playing! There are other options: Renewable energy, it's been pushed aside for cost reasons but ask yourself what happens when the well runs dry? Nothing lasts forever and if we keep at this pace we're just compiling more dangerous chemicals. Once a wells tapped the works mostly done, alternative energy requires service making a permeant job rather than temp work.
