you like this video could you please vote for it at http://www.youtube.com/group/EventideVideoContest as it's part of a competition to win an Eclipse - something else I can demo for you! Thanks. :)

The third reason I love this outstanding box of tricks - The HarPeggiator.

This video is in glorious stereo. I think that's the only way to demo the Eventide gear properly.

Enjoy!

  • noicee demo.. can u make up your own arpeggio sequences with it ?

  • @andrenalize Not really; you're asked to choose one of the preset arpeggios and mix and match. I haven't done the math, but the possibilities are pretty vast. Great fun, too. Cheers, BK.

  • Please, I have one question, how good are the Reverb and Fuzz on this pedal compared to a good reverb unit and an analog fuzz??

  • @javiceres We're talking about Eventide here - the reverb is great although largely nonadjustable in terms of tone, diffusing, etc. The fuzz is a digital fuzz. I think that particular filter could use a kick in the volume department but generally it's OK. It's no substitute for a decent Ge Fuzz Face though, but then it's not meant to be.

  • Wow, what a noodler's dream. From 0.40 to 1.01 there is phasing that extends the stereo image beyond the distance between the speakers. Do you know if that is a characteristic of the patch or is it induced my your recording software? Yeah I know I'm an anorak. It's a curse. As always, great video Brett.

  • @linkwray22 No extra software was used. I believe it's because at the .40 mark I mix out sequencer A and it does something freaky - to my head as well as your ears! I'm still trying to come to terms with this machine and I think it will take a little while. It's great fun exploring though!

  • So you can play a chord and it arpeggiates it or do you preassign a key and just play single notes?

  • does it need a compressor after? its a bit spiky...

  • im sure that this effect can replace the "random step filter" that my korg ax30g has

  • Amazing technology, but my band-mates would kill me if I started playing this thing at a gig/rehearsal. It's definitely musical but this is the kind of effect that turns a gtr player into Rick Wakeman or Wendy Carlos instead of a guitar player. Don't get me wrong, Iove what guys like Matt Bellamy of Muse are doing, but I'd rather get my eyes rolled back in my head, start air-chewing, & find a new riff-planet than get a migraine tweaking something with 15 knobs. Still, it sounds way cool!! ;)
