ASPIRA-Haugan Middle School (AHMS) is located on the northwest side of Chicago in the diverse community area of Albany Park. The school's mission is to provide a high-quality education that fosters student development and leadership. Using a project-based learning methodology, the school enables students to acquire knowledge and skills in the areas of technology and math and science. AHMS offers students many opportunities to excel through small class sizes, a curriculum that emphasizes critical thinking skills and the ability to make real-world connections. Access to technology at school and at home allows students to achieve mastery of various computer applications. The school teaches parents how to stay involved in their child's education by providing parents with computer access to grades and attendance. The computer system allows parents and teachers to communicate regularly. ASPIRA is known for excellence in education and leadership development. The school offers English as a Second Language instruction. The office support staff is bilingual.

ENROLLMENT AND ADMISSIONS

The school is open to all students who live in the city of Chicago. If there are more students than seats, then a lottery will occur.

6th & 7th Grades 9:00 am - 3:30 pm

8th Grade 8:00 am- 2:40 pm

After-School Hours: 3:30 pm -- 5:30 pm

Earliest Drop Off: 8:00 am (earlier during winter)
