@Khmer2013 LY is a vietnamese surname. Ly, Li, Lee, and Ri are east asian/ Sinosphere culture surnames. Vietnam, China, Korea, and Japan are Sinosphere culture. Ly (viet) = Li & Lee (chinese) = Lee (korean) = Ri (japanese). Cambodian culture is Indosphere (Indian). Prach Ly might be 100% cambodian now but somewhere in the past his ancestors might be viets that immigrated to Cambodia and got mixed with khmer. He might has a little bit of Vietnamese in him . The character for that surname - > 李

@Towaa30 The Vietnamese ''LY'' and ''LE'' are pronounce differently. This LY pronounce as LEE and this LE pronounce as LAY. Have you heard of the Ly Dynasty of Vietnam from 1010 - 1225? Google ===> LY Dynasty. The cambodian people with the surname LY, DUONG, and PHAN have vietnamese blood in them and they don't know it. Their ancestors probably migrated to Cambodia and intermarried with cambodian locals. After several hundred years ( 5 or 6 generations) they forgot where they're from.
