I remember as a kid I really wanted this toy, but my parents were too broke to afford it (or too cheap, lol). But I used a cardboard box, decorated the outside to look like castle Greyskull, some dollhouse furniture for the inside, and even made a trapdoor for the figures to fall thru. Kids back then when they couldn't get what they wanted, used their imaginations to make do...and it kinda saddens me that most of todays youth don't know what thats like.

In Germany we also loved this toys. Oh my... What do have kids today?... Pokemon-Cards and PSPs or Nintendo DS. At this time kids had something to touch and to stimulate their fantasy and imagination.

I was in Germany back between the years of 1981 to 84. At the time I was there, I saw these toys there. But, because the Armed Forces Network didn't have advertisements on TV back then, I had no idea what the hell I was looking at, other than some strange looking toys. It wasn't until I returned stateside when I learned and understood what He-Man and the Masters of the Universe was. Better late than never to know how cool the toys were.

I have to say, even though the cartoon was produced to sell these freakin' toys, it was a seriously high-quality work of animation!
Some of the storylines were even great - of course, they had J. Micheal Straycinzki (creator of Babylon 5) writing for them.
I still think Orko should have been killed, though.

I agree. They were basically half-hour toy commercials but it was some kick-ass animation and I loved that show as a kid. But yeah, Orko needs to be banished to some sort of netherworld where he can live among his own kind. *cough*JarJar*cough*
