Four Women Pearl Awards Educator honoree: Gladys Galloway

The Green Pearl Award for Education: Gladys Galloway recognizes that the education and guidance a child receives early on has a tremendous affect on the way he or she will behave as an adult. Because of this deep understanding, she is the Director of a preschool called Just for Little People in Midtown. Gladys has the ability to engage her students and use a variety of innovative teaching techniques that set her apart from others. Within this preschool, each child is building a confident self image, independence, socialization skills and how to express their emotions in a positive, constructive manner. Ms. Galloway believes that giving children a chance to experience things allows them to grow into caring members of their community. She also stresses the importance of good nutrition which is essential to a child's early brain development.
