@michaeldemicoli *aircraft.. you cant repair carbon parts on aircraft you just replace that part. ur not allowed to repair unless ur in a company authorized to repair
wow, no vacuum bag? i usually do not wet out the peel ply and have to alter the ply orientation to match the ply's that i remove. I also use a caul plate as most of what i do is adding to an edge or dealing with compound shapes. the repair looked reasonable though.

I believe the core was aluminum honeycomb with carbon fiber faces.
Always wet out your peel ply after your lay it down!
