What happend??

We get this error message on our favorite old pc asking for a system disk which i no longer have anymore =(

it worked fine litterally 5 hours before we started videoing it now we get this message and i tried somethings to make it boot normally...but with no luck.

no but i luckily found the recovery disks and ran those now the computer is good as new!!

Is it still detecting your Hard Drive? Get a Boot Disk (You can download them, easy to find and free) and when it gets to the command prompt and type C:\ (or whatever your HDD is), if it gives you an error and takes you back to the A:\. Than I know a place that can help you, ask and i will PM you

yes it still detects it but it doesn't do much at all. I have a boot disk (downloaded extracted to floppy disk) but i stick it in and the pc wont read the floppy disk at all. I cleaned the dust out of it, but its too old and doesn't work, it

hm.... try to find a boot disk online, it may help, there was some website (dont remeber the name) but it specialized in nothing but boot disks

@CruzinExotica if you only extract the boot disk, it wont work. it wont write the boot-sector. you need some kind of program to write the floppy image

What you want to do is 1.) take out all cds and floppys If that does not work 2.)take out all floppys, cds, And hard drive. Then turn it back on. It will give you tue same error, so put in the hard drive but not floppys or cds. If that does not work reset the bios abd repeat step 1!

seen to be os problem. try to get a window 98 disk to reload it back.
