i know I hate it bc I dont want to be all downing by explaining how badly i feel. i usually just say im doing good and kinda try to change the subject so they wont ask about my pots, etc. lol

I do not have pots, I have muscular dystrophy and I know how this feels. Do take heart that I think most people mean well..... But definitely do not understand. Do you say well im happy I look good. Do I look just as good crawling up the stairs.... Lol. Hang in there

When people ask how are you I say: well that depends, are you offended by the truth? Do you wanna hear a really sad story? How long have you got? Do you want the truth? doing the best I can. Fantasitc, considering. Better than yesterday. No use complaining. You don't really want to know that. When people say well you look good, sometimes I think people are trying to build you up because they know you are suffering. Normally I say thank you, nice of you to say that but I feel ...................

Same thing, I hate the comment, you look good.. I FEEL HORRIBLE!!! THEY EVEN KNOW I FEEL HORRIBLE BECAUSE I MAKE IT CLEARThey think because i look ok there is nothing wrong but i feel neauseated and dizzy and like my heart is pounding from position to positon. I wonder how they would feel?.

honestly this is my pet peeve! i can stand the "well you look good" like they ask how i feel and im like "complete shit". a "well you look good" doesnt really help the fact that i feel like im gonna vomit on your face. ok enough of my rant bahaha love u!

I deal with this ALL the time and it is frustrating. Especially at work. My boss constantly says, well you look good, you must doing a lot better! I don't have any suggestions, but I do sympathize with you! I have POTS as well, and this "comment" sucks. It's because people can't physically see there is something wrong on the outside! If only we had cancer or some other type of disease. **I AM NOT DISCREDITING CANCER OR ANY OTHER DISEASE!** that was just a generalization!
