I just noticed in the "info" section that Hans Zimmer composed this music for "True Romance", which in a way is similar to 'Badlands', as were Kalifornia & Natural Born Killers (contemporary 90s films about youthful killers). Hans Zimmer is pretty good at making derivative copies of other composer's creations.

The music and narration remind me of 'Badlands' with Sissy Spacek and Martin Sheen. Sissy narrates most of the movie with this same kind of music.
