My 1972 Plymouth Fury II is having a hard time staying running on a rainy day. Anyone old enough to remember these cars knows how they would stall constantly with any sign of humidity in the air. On a nice day, it runs just fine. I bought this car about 5 years ago and I drive it all year round. It's in pretty rough shape, but I've always liked the looks of the '72. The wheels are old Keystone Raiders, and the stickers are genuine from the 70's. I remember cars looking like this back when I was a kid, so I wanted to re-create the scuzzy primer-spots, mismatched panels and rims, and general air of menace that this style of car evokes. Thanks for checking it out! Lots more to come!

  • @yakutskvolga Yes, '72 was the final year for contact points ignition.

  • if it's a 318 it has the carter 1 1/4 carb, can get the part # 4 rebuild kit if needed. btw, im a c-body maniac! gots 67 fury convertable and a 73 fury hard top, yes!

  • @captbarnacles1 Thanks for the tip!

Good to hear from other C-body nuts. I've got 4 drivers right now.

  • Ballast resistors always were a problem on these, but these were one tough car

  • Mmm I love that sound.

  • @captbarnacles1 Hey is your '73 a coupe? Just wondering, i've got a '73 Fury III hardtop coupe and I love that car, i'd live in it if I had to. I don't see much of the '73 furys on youtube, guess they're kind of rare.

  • LOVE THE 70'S BIG Mopars ! Esp the rare 2-drs ! Take care of her !!!

  • @mechanicwarrior20 Weird...These Chryslers are usually OK when they warm up, its just when they are cold and damp... forget it. Walk.

  • @coldwarmotors reason being is that is a common symptom for holley carbs to run like a pile of crap when it's humid out.
