Hetalia Axis Powers: Spain and Portugal's Childhood

Hetalia Axis Powers focus on many countries, but important countries like Portugal and Ireland have yet to make an appearance (WHY?!!!). As a result, many fans have created their version of Portugal, most people call him Afonso (an homage to Portugal's first King). I hope you like the video ^_^

Ok: None of the images are mine! All I did was make a video out of them. I do not own Hetalia Axis Powers either.

Portugal's Biography:

Portugal is Spain's younger brother. While growing up he was often bullied by his brother until he decided to live on his own. However, Spain had a hard time accepting his brother as country and often tried to take him back, unsucessfully. Trap between Spain and the sea, Portugal felt lonely and isolated until he became friends with England, his childhood friend,much to Spain chagrin. England vowed to protect him whenever he need it.
Portugal decided to explore to world by sea and got the south half of the world, while Spain got the north. After the discoveries he became a powerful nation until he was left in poverty after France and Spain tried to invade him together. England eventually betrayed him and threatened to kill him unless he gave him his lands in Africa.
During WW2, Portugal remained neutral, ruled by a fascist Superior who isolated him from the world. Recently he is trying to keep up with the rest of Europe and is advancing at a fast rate.

Personality:

Portugal is cheerful and kind. He is more sensitive than his older brother Spain, although he is kind of an air-head. Unlike Spain, Portugal hates war and conflict and was more concerned in knowing countries than invade them. Despite being proud, he also has a inferiority complex due to his bullying from other countries. Although he is very peaceful, his national hymn is very belic and full of rage after England's betrayal. He hates being confunded with Spain's underling and attacks viciusly who tells him that. He has a sibling rivality with Spain and Brazil (is former colony).
He had a good relationship with England as children, as the latter tried to protect him from Spain and France. Portugal was also the one who made England like tea. However, after the Pink Map incident, their relationship became awkward as Portugal became very offended by England's betrayal. England and the allies were concerned that Portugal might join the Axis Powers so England convinced him to aid the Allies, relunctanly Portugal accepted. However, during the Invasion of Portuguese India, when Portugal asked for England's help the latter ignored him. Even tough they're still friends, Portugal became colder to England. Despite that, England enjoys going to his house in the summer.
Portugal also has strong ties with USA and suports him in almost every decision. Due to his friendly disposition he is now friends with many countries such as Hungary, Croatia, Cyprus, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Bulgaria, Ireland, Kosovo, Malta, Romania, Russia, Serbia and Ukraine.
He also has a hard time saving money as he spends too much on stupid things, leaving him broke most of the time.

@Kari7 Well I'm sorry, but you know all too well that Portugal is like the kid who always blends in with the crowd and becomes just another face in the background.

@Time2Keeper1 And what's wrong with that? We live in a peaceful country, that's why we have no terrorist atacks. Those who stand out, are those who get beaten. We don't need glory anymore, just peace and quiet. The only glory we want is on the soccer field.

How is Porto Rico by the way? Does it really stand out so much that you can come here brag how unimportant Portugal is? What are your achivements? Not Spain's, not USA's... Yours?

Really I just want to see Portugal connan! Male or Female I just want to see them. Plus I want to see some MORE PortUK cause I'm tried of seeing USUK flood my screen. I'm sorry to anyone who likes that couple but, it's overrated now... Let's give love to couples with potential like RomaBel, FranScot, and I'll go as far as to Romano x China! Speaking of that. I've heard a rumor recently...apparently the A Male!Portugal has appeared in the latest comic thing on Himuraya's blog. It doesn't label it as Portugal, but it kinda looks like him...can someone confirm this for me? It's in the same strip where America appears cosplaying Batman -_-;;
