Totti Penalty Against Australia

Video taken in a beach bar in San Remo of the moment when Totti scored a (dodgy!) last minute penalty to beat Australia, and to take eventual winners Italy into the quarter finals of the World Cup.

In the game Italy had a man sent off early in the second half (you guessed it - Materazzi) and spent the rest of the game defending against an Australian onslaught until with seconds remaining Grosso surged into the Australian box from out wide having avoided Marco Bresciano before being obstructed by Lucas Neill. The central defender had fallen to the ground early and Grosso, though not tripped, was impeded and dived straight over him. Totti, who had come on as a substitute, scored, with the last kick of the game.

About the video: Me, French Tony and Trev popped across from our hols in the south of France to San Remo for a day of lounging on the beach and to catch the Italy-Australia game in Italy. It was ace watching the Italian kids so happy and the bar staff were so busy celebrating they forgot to charge us for our beers. Grazie! ;o)

Ridler182 get your facts right. Italy made 11 shots 6 were on target Australia made 8 shots 4 were on target and Australia had 60% possesion, with italys sloppy play in the end I am pretty sure we would have won.
