The Chosen

Once upon a long ago time there was a community of faith on its way to the Promise Land. And the God who led them called them "the chosen." But though they were chosen, they lost their way. "Now all these things happened to them as examples, and they were written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the ages have come" (1 Cor 10:11). Which means that their spiritual descendants?the end-time community of faith?would do well to study their ancient predecessors. For lessons gained from the experience of the first "chosen" must surely apply to the last "chosen." Because the story of "The Chosen" is still being written.
