When you need a setup to suspend your Yeti Microphone that is different form the base that comes with your Yeti, then this configuration will definitely help you. www.rcim.org.
At 2:10 in the video, you place the mic in the correct position. The Yeti is a side address mic, so for best performance, you need to speak into the side of the screen with the mute button facing you. Try putting the mic in the vertical position like this, re positioning the pop filter and turning down the gain a bit. You will get MUCH less ambient noise and better recordings.
Rob there is a proper shock mount designed for the mic so no need to so to such lengths:) Also how can the orphanage be 'yours'? You are in Austrailia and the kids are in Africa. I'm sure Jesus would be looking for more humility from you.
@DonKellieJr the correct shock mount for the yeti and yeti pro is the "Radius" mount, the one in this video is the "Ringer" mount. Go to the home page of yeti and look at products and accesories
I ordered the Yeti about six months ago and last week I saw your video setting up the Yeti to the shock mount. So, I ordered the stand and shock mount but the screw that came with the shock mount is a bit larger than the screw hole on the Yeti. I am a bit confused. Help Please!

Most people just order a new microphone after seeing so much difficulty with the Blue Yeti microphone. Oh well, that's what I'm gonna do.

The correct shock mount for the yeti and yeti pro is the radius. But still cool to see it mounts on the ringer as well

I would like to hear some of your recordings. Where can I find them? Can you email me a copy of a short audio clip?

Just a heads up that you have the mic set up wrong. Mic is not meant to talk into the top of it. You need to talk into it from the front.
