Of the three million people suffering from psychiatric illness in France, a few thousand are aggressive and violent. These patients are cared for in a closed hospital, a bit like a prison. The walls are covered with electric cables and barbed wire; such institutions rarely open their doors to public scrutiny. Inside, psychotics, schizophrenics, and psychopaths are enclosed for periods of 6 to 12 months. Some of these patients come from prisons, but others are sent from other hospitals having been sectioned. Faced with aggressive patients, the medical teams resort to tying them up, limiting their movement to a greater and greater extent, to isolation chambers, and even electric shock treatment

  • It's exactly like this if not worse in America. I know, I was in three. They do exactly this to the patients, restraints, forced injections, although I cannot speak french I assume the doctors have an explanation for why these people are suffering like this. I don't care who you are, doctor, nurse, you name it. NO one has the right to treat people this way. FORCE injections that add or increase 'insanity' because of the chemicals. You aren't helping anyone. You are monsters.

  • @mortdepeur13 It's only because you have no idea how they work. Not everything is going to work. Calm down and give doctors a break.

  • Great people working in this psych ward.

  • @pandacookie2244

What do you expect? Having crazy people run rampant? The people taking care of you are men of science and reason. They wish to make you a part of society safely. Yes we DO have the right to take control.

  • @pandacookie2244 So...basically people are like specimens for other's sick experiments? People are stuck in here like caged animals, and they go crazier by the minute? God i'm creeped out...

  • @pandacookie2244 it's true. my mom complained of heart pains one time and we went to the hospital. She's a bit claustrophobic so then she began panicking, and talked about the way she was panicking and that wanted to go outside. the doc's first reaction, even before trying to talk her through it, was popping advan. that messed her up for days....

  • @airevolt1 Thats what i want to say, they want the job only for money they don't care if you are sick. it give you something and then go away... it was not like this before. It was like you go to see doctor and wait for 30 min - 1 hour max and put you on some test and look everywhere and today they just try to guess what it should be the problem, give pill and thats it. One day i saw a guy who was bleeding because he cut is finger and no one care about him. he wait for maybe 7 hour with me.anyway

  • @mortdepeur13 Medicine for profit is the problem. People that become doctors in order to be rich. Better they should be bankers or politicians and stay out of the medical profession altogether. A doctor's sole motivation should be their patients health.

  • @Aliden13 i try but can't accept. A doctor is suppose to be the one who will help you and suggest how to live for a better life. Not just give prescription and leave is office and later buy more because they can't heal what you have inside... doctor are bad these days they don't work correcly. And one of them almost kill someone in my family because that was the wrong thing they give it to her. i know what i'm talking and no one can change the way i see them. its a opinion and i respect yours.
