  • Ever tried to organize a union? Employees don't have free choice. They have harrasment, threats, intimidation and job loss. How is that a free choice? This is a good bill.

The surest way to get money back into the hands of working people and to stabilize our economy is to unionize our workforce and reward hard work. A strong middle class is the engine which drives our economy and the best way to build that middle class is with union labor.

  • Hey Neal Borts....sorry I mean "fairtaxhtown" In stead of spewing right wing radio B.S. try doing some actual reaserch into the facts.......The NLRB recorded about 40,000 cases where the "EMPLOYER" was taken before the National labor relations board for unfair labor practices where some form of worker intimidation was envolved, Union "thugs" about 20......I can't make those numbers up, it is on the government web. I will post it when I find it.

  • Help bring back the middle class? Can you even define middle class?

Seems like if it doesn't give individual workers the right to choose their own health care provider it leaves them at the mercy of someone else's will, be that of the employer or that of their fellow employees.

But I digress, what is middle class again? And what does class have to do with health care choice? What if I'm of the lower class working with middle class people; would this not benefit me?

  • Oh don't you know? The option for a non-secret ballot is intrinsically related to healthcare and employees having a choice in choosing what doctors and....

actually, the case hasn't been made has it?

funny how that works isn't it?

  • What does that have to do with healthcare? What does the option for a non-secret ballot have to do with having no individual say over what insurance provider they are trusting their health to?

    Seems fishy no?

  • scottkristle is a corporate troll. EFCA preserves the right to a secret ballot election, if the EMPLOYEES choose. Get it? Employee free CHOICE.

  • Religion is a metaphor that helps people live good lives. It cannot be used as excuses for conflicts, tools for politics, or explanations for the origins of the universe

  • What's so good about atheists? When you're burning in Hell, I'll be up in Heaven laughing at your sorry pathetic worthless ass. If you scream in agony loud enough, I might send down a drop of water- no I wont! LOL!!

  • You have a problem with atheists now?

  • Why do the unions want to eliminate the opportunity for a private ballot election during a union drive; however, in the even of a decertification campaign, a secret ballot would still be required. Let's get real about the motives of this bill - increase union revenue.
