I made the unfortunate mistake of signing up to a college and basically signing my soul to the Devil, Satan himself....oh wait, did I just say that? I meant nelnet sorry.
I owed 9,546 dollars. Because I live in California and it is impossible to find a job, I mean literally impossible. My default loan went from 9,546 to 17,356 dollars because of acrued interest. So basically now I'm fucked. Not only am I considering slitting my wrists because I am in debt I am considering slicing my throat too!

You never get them paid off if you just pay the minimum due. I have been out of school for over 5 years and still owe more than I did to begin with!

Unfortunately, I had to go with NelNet since they provided my student loans. Luckily, I had my loans deferred until next year due to unemployment. Then I go back to school and get them deferred until I graduate. After that, I should qualify for a Public Service Loan Forgiveness program, pay for only 10 years straight, then goodbye loans! If the payments are unreasonably high for me, I'll just give them what I can afford.
