"Tarzan Goes To India" was Jock Mahoney's first film as Tarzan. It was directed by John Guillermin in 1962 and also starred Jai, the Elephant Boy, Simi as Princess Kamara, and Leo Gordon as Bryce, the uncompromising dam builder. This segment is an excerpt from the documentary, "The Many Faces of Tarzan" (1996).

  • hmm looks like a good film, when's it coming out?

  • Warners recently released nearly all of the missing Tarzan films in their Warners Archive Collection - all of the Lex Barker, Gordon Scott, Jock Mahoney and Mike Henry films are now available on DVD from Amazon.com and eBay.

  • any chance you could unearth anymore leo gordon clips ? thanks

  • Sorry, Leo Gordon clips aren't really one of the themes I have chosen to pursue on Youtube.

However, it does sound as if you may have stumbled upon an area of need that hasn't yet been met on Youtube. You could decide to run with it and set yourself the goal of including a short scene featuring Leo Gordon from every film and television show he ever appeared in. Mind you, you will need to divorce your wife, quit your job and kiss all of your friends goodbye.

  • TARZAN GOES TO INDIA...One of two movies starring Jock Mahoney as Tarzan that were released between 1962 and 1963. This was one of them presented in breathtaking CINEMASCOPE and COLOR

  • in regards to do a leo gordon clip fest ,that would be a daunting task, pilgrim !!!

  • ver o filme inteiro

  • the population of elephants has decreased sharply since this film was made

  • The mini biography of Gordon on IMDb is fantastic. The director Don Siegel, who had directed both John Wayne and Clint Eastwood, said that Gordon was the scariest man he had ever met. He had done time in San Quentin for armed robbery and when they were filming "Riot in Cell Block 11" (1954) there the guards remembered him as a trouble maker.

  • I wrote that for the benefit of readers who may not know who you are referring to.
