funny how people argue over something stupid. first of all, why expect everything to be real, it is a movie not a reality show and even reality show is not all real.. Second of all, it was based off a comic, the comic said he is superstitious, then he is superstitious. Why question the comic book, it like questioning why superman weakness is a stupid rock. Third of all, there were more on the comic after this fight. That when he reunite with his daughter.

@froz3ncat Hero lives in a delusional state of superstitions told to him by some man with a severe mental problems. They are both hallucinating. Superstitions and traditions are useless and dangerous if one cannot find logical meaning to explain.

It's bad writing, pure and simple.

as smalbug said - if the rest of the story is what you're interested in, go read the comic books.

Also, you clearly fail to understand Hero's predicament of not being able to be with his friends and family. He simply loves them and would rather suffer than bring harm to them.

A modern analogy - if I were a violent schizophrenic, I would choose to recluse myself to protect those I love too, rather than bring them harm.

Go watch Disney if you only want fairy-tale happy endings.

well... i hate the movie, how can something so beautiful has such a sad end, we don't know anything about the daughter and he didnt even accept his son. it is like life doesn't have any meaning for him anymore since he lost his wife. why couldn't he find his daughter, transfer the china secret to his son, then stay with the japanese girl and have plenty of kungfu children heroes. smhhhh
