What Are We Fighting For? Israelis, Arabs, Muslims and Jews

I live in Israel and my home was hit by a rocket on July 13, 2006.

It looks as though war is about to break out again. Israel is now surrounded on 3 borders. I live on 2 of them.

This is me speaking on Truth Brigade Radio, expressing my views on Israel, Muslims, Arabs, Iran and global politics.

Can't we all just get along? I'm sure we would, if the weapons makers would get out of our way.

I am Jewish, born in New Jersey (USA), lived in Houston, TX (USA) most of my life, then moved to Israel as an adult.

People are writing to me after hearing this clip to say they didn't know there were good people living in Israel after all the bad things they've heard in the news, and that I've opened their eyes.

I am happy to tell you that after going all over the world, I understand that the majority of citizens of all nations are good people who are not fairly represented by their governments or the media.

I don't think its due to just the government, Olivia. Quite honestly, I've met fellow Israelis - both Jewish and Christian - and they say that even if the governments advocated for everyone to get along - it wouldn't solve the core problem as to all of this fighting. The Islamic religion regards anyone who disagrees with their view as infidels and if someone doesn't convert to their way of thinking, their religion calls for them to kill us. You won't solve the problem until Islam is exposed.

Multicultural, little army, good social system, and very accepting and encouraging of diversity to the point that people actually become patriotic based on feeling that they are not only accepted but needed and valued...If only the entire world had as a comfortable a life-style as we do in developed nations there would be far fewer problems :(
