Hori Real Arcade Pro EX-SE VS X-Arcade

This is not really a VS and I'm not trying to prove anything either though. So what the heck is this? I thought it could be interesting to compare the sticks engage and motion from the throw until it reaches back the neutral zone on both joysticks. Shot with the Casio EX-F1 at 30 and 300fps.

If I ever get a Mad Catz Tournament Edition FightStick I'll upload a new video with the same concept.

As a personal thought and after testing both controllers, I find it difficult to go back to the X-Arcade. The Hori Real Arcade Pro EX-SE doesn't have all the adapters as the X-Arcade does but considering the infinite superior components (Seimitsu VS replica Happ), shorter travel of the stick, better button response and layout... I'll be using my new Hori to break my old records from my shmup collection, that's for sure! Music from Raiden IV "Shoot like lightning (DEMO) Arcade".

They are exactly the same other than the color and one has collectors value. So I would go for Death Smiles so long as you aren't intending on modding it (keep it, sell it in 5 years time when Death Smiles is more known and is worth being put as a collectors item).

I HAD ALOT OF STICKS THAT ARE SANWA OVER THE YEARS AND I FOUND OUT THAT SEIMITSU ARE BETTER AND ALL I PALY IS SSF4. PEOPLE SAY NEGATIVE THINGS ABOUT SEIMITSU AND SAYING THE SANWAS ARE BETTER BUT I TRY IT MYSELF AND SEIMITSU BLOW SANWA AWAY. @foxworthy21, the EX-SE first came out on February 2009 and was originally sold only at Hori's website (Japan) and a few online retailer but was sold out immediately. At the moment, you can buy it pretty much anywhere. Amazon had it for as low as $70-$80 at one point.

Funny thing, the EX-SE still sells second hand for as much as 13,000yen in Akihabara... crazy!!
