After visiting Auyán Tepui Stewart McPherson is now approaching Mount Roraima. After finding Utricularia humboldtii even at the foot of the tepui he starts the ascent. In his book "The Lost Worlds of the Guiana Highlands" he mentions the thrilling first ascent of the mountain in 1884 by Everard Im Thurn and Harry Perkins. Reaching the summit their first impression was to enter "some strange country of nightmares". Now Stewart McPherson shows us his encounter with the strange landscapes, the tod Oreophrynella, and CP like Utricularia quelchii, Drosera roraimae and Heliamphora nutans.
