Panic sets in as Petra cuts a bug out of my back at 330 West 51st Street, NY, NY 10019 a.k.a. the "Hell's Kitchen Rooms SRO", where we were tortured and had our room and all our belongings infested with horrible bugs. These included chiggers and a variety of fleas. I lost 30 pounds in a week from the stress alone. These bugs are sand fleas, that bore deep under the skin and stay there until they die or sometimes forever, often causing extremely painful infections and abscesses in the process. They lay eggs, that later hatch and come out as worms, or you can cut then out... Imagine getting these in your mouth or in and around your genitals as we did. Petra has expensive crown and bridgework, one of which fell out, because a bug and its eggs had tunneled through her gums and bones and moved 2 posts in the process, also caused further structural damage. The bridge was cemented back in and is holding so far. The female sand flea swells up to 50 times her original size, when eggs grow inside her. The egg sack, that popped out of Petra's gums was about the size of a pea or small bean.
