Dan Brickley presents schema.org, a set of extensible schemas that enables webmasters to embed structured data on their web pages for use by search engines.

Hosted by the BBC Academy in London, the Libraries, Media and The Semantic Web meet up event saw speakers at the forefront of the move towards common formats for data on the World Wide Web discuss the latest advances in their field.

Themes covered included how standards are emerging for embedding machine-readable data into natural language documents, and how in the Libraries, Archives and Museums realm a new community of linked data advocates are changing how the world's great cultural institutions understand their holdings.
