  • Haha this is hellarious !!

  • Just because accidents have not happened does not mean that they cannot happen; making a street safer and improving traffic flow reduces congestion, tailgating accidents, and such. Smoothing the street out also increases sight distance, giving motorists reaction time. Plowing into someone's yard isn't always a nice thing though.

  • U should watch milky and friends its a pawz movie butFUNNY

  • so your going to make THESTREETMORESAFE?

  • Sounds like DOD-speak.

  • Wonderful. This is my life as an engineer. It's like talking to a wall to work with other engineers who are standards driven. Can't we go back to using our brains rather than memorizing standards?

  • Horizontal clearance is the lateral offset distance from the edge of the traveled way, shoulder or other designated point to a vertical roadside element. These dimensional values are not calculated, and are not intended to constitute a clear zone. They are intended to provide a roadside environment that is not likely to have an adverse affect on motorists' using the roadway.

  • i love it. the engineers in my town tried doing this a few years back, taking our old narrow tree lined street and trying to widen it by removing trees. The neighborhood battled the City and won. The street is beautiful.

  • While we should respect engineers because they are essential to our way of life, this video shows how paint-by-the-numbers dumb they can be sometimes. This is a real life situation: the standards are real and they are what are used to "make streets safe." Funny and clever animation video - good job!

  • lol this cracks me up!
