Science fiction usually have several timelines. The 2036 we saw was probably just one of many possible future versions of the Earth (remember the Archie polluted Earth, the same there).

He's going to be in the new Turtles series, unfortunately he's not Raphael, but Donatello.
Still, it'll be good to hear him in the series again.

It's amazing how long this show lasted, 193 episodes..holy crap!
At the time it was the longest running animated show in tv history.
