Have the exact same kayak, I also cut the bow hatch out the only difference is I used my brackets designed for the bungies on side it helps to keep trolley from rubbing top of yak. I live in south fla.and made small livewell out of 5 gal. bucket utilizing small 12v wheelchair battery w/ bildge pump on 3/4in hose over side looks like batt. would fit in back of your seat.Know doubt they,re better yaks out there but not for the price. My only knock is the concave bottom, lil unstable

I just got a future beach160 fishing kayak because I liked the feel of it. also got a great deal in a divorce sale. I am new to Kayaking so your video caught my eye . Im very blonde and clueless so Id appreciate the simple ideas to trick mine out for easier handling since its so big I thought installing extra handles could help. Thanks Cat B

Any plans for a rudder system?
-
What brand seat is that and where did you get it?

Where did you get your seat from? What about the price? Very nice set up....
Warwagon80, I planned on putting a Prowler 13 rudder system on it, but I decided not to put one one yet until I have more sea time. Right now I hit a lot of freshwater reseviours that don't really pose any problems for me.

The seat is called the "Fishing Buddy" I beleive from Austin Kayak. I really like it and am impressed with it.

Crossbar6...If your lucky you'll see me on the cover of Outdoor Magazine, not only on my yak shirtless..but with a Stoggy in my mouth as I'm holding the world record Red Drum caught from my yak...just turn to the featured article titled, "What you know bout this yak son?" on page 69!

Naturalist80...I purchased the seat from Austin Kayak and it was originally $127.99, but I had a substantial discount coupon that was given to me by a buddy so I didn't pay that amount. Very well made seat though.

I made a comment about the stern hatch that was wrong. I meant to say obviously that the hatch is too small to fit rods and larger items in.
