Aliwan 2009: Karatong Festival Dulag Leyte (Official Version)

Dulag is one of the municipalities situated on the eastern coast of Leyte. In ancient times, Dulagnon communicated using the karatong - a bamboo implement also used to warn of impending danger and to drive away intruders. When Moro invaders ravaged the town to get their golden bell, the natives were allegedly moved by the Nuestra Senora del Refugio and the Senor Santo Nino to tap the karatong to save the town. sayang idol ko pa mandin tong karatong.. nu ba nangyari at bakit d cla nagchampion sa Pentados kainis nman d na cla makita sa Aliwan pero cguro makasali pa dn cla sa aliwan 2010.....

ewan ko nalang kung manalo pa itong festival na ito...hahay....mas maganda na kc yung choreographer nila d2 pinalitan pa...unti-unti na ring nakilala e2 pero ewan ko nalang kung manalo pa ito kc napaboring ang presentation nila last pintados 2009 sa tacloban.tnalo pa sila ng pasaka ng tanauan...

kaya sila natalo sa Festival of Festivals in Tacloban kasi boaring ang sayaw nila dun.. di kagaya dito sa aliwan na maganda ang choreogarcphy nila... We are very disappointed sa pinakita ng Dulag sa Pintados Kasadyaan Festival 2009..

I am from Tanauan leyte but the pasaka festival having copied the music of Karatong does not make me proud, so to say.
