i totally agree with you, only that i do like this version. This "twisting of the meaning" is the brilliant part of rammstein's version. Only covering songs one by one is not a real artist's work. Showing other ways of interpretation is a real tribute for the makers of the original.

it was only becuase you were disappointed since you expected something like the original while this is completly different, for me it was exactly the opposite, I first heard the rammstein cover and was disappointed by the original which has nothing of the energy of this one

I heard about this remake of my fav groups songs so I had to seek it out and I absolutely hate it. Sorry everyone, just my opinion.  Depeche Mode does it way, way, way, way better. I like this group and their own songs but I hope they never do another DM song EVER!!

thing is...this is a cover. it's okay to do a cover especially for rammstein, which has excellent releases of their own. this one sucks though, 'cos depeche mode had put it in a certain way that rammstein could never ever possibly reach on to.(what sucks most is the twisting of the meaning of this love song towards rammstein interpretation: He doesn't even sing [...]down to the bone. its all about provo with rammstein. So is the vid.
