Such a wonderful and heartwarming interview!
I don't know of any other major composer who has continued to be actively composing into his (or her) second century of life.
May the musical world continue to be blessed with his physical presence for many more years to come!

Well I'm a baby at 60! My father used toamke crystal sets he was born about the same time as Carter. Innovation and curiosity, interest in new things - "new connections between things" - incredible.
Interesting music he writes.
