well, for your info there are many people who like to eat fish around the world. the migration of whales in unmapped areas (by migration) are causing millions of dollars of loss to fishermen. even then, if whales were gone from the planet, what disadvantage would we have?

The fish population will not overgrow, as many species of fish are being overfished, and the human population is growing, there are more mouths to feed.
