DNA Strings are one of South Africa's best-known instrumental bands. They have won awards for Best Live Performance, Best Duo/Group, Best Contempory Band and Best Contempory Album and have received numerous nominations including Best Instrumental Band. The music, of which the essence is captured in their live shows, can be described as pulsating, energetic, uplifting, passionate and powerful. They have become known for a dynamic, interactive, vibeing show that has the crowd clapping, dancing and cheering, always leaving them wanting more.

Their live show is a showcase of their fusion of styles which include: African, Irish, South American, Traditional Folk and even some North African Arabic sounds. Flamenco Guitar, Violin, Drums, Bass Guitar and a multitude of percussion from all over the world dish up their ethnic sounds.
Their sounds have taken them to other parts of Africa, the Edinburgh Fringe festival in Scotland the Seychelles and even a show in the Royal Albert Hall.
